By now, you've probably heard about the fake San Francisco 49ers player Daejon Love, who allegedly scammed people online out of over $1 million and has been arrested. He allegedly pretended to be a Niners player to get people to give him money, and now ex-49ers players are having some fun with it.
One player in particular is a deep cut among Niners fans, but he perfectly spoofed Love’s ridiculous videos recently.
Former defensive lineman Anthony “Spice” Adams played for San Francisco from 2003 to 2006 and didn’t have the most memorable career, but he got the Love videos spot on:

He filmed himself driving around and talking about his San Francisco tenure in a very over-the-top way, reminding everyone that he plays for the 49ers and loves the Niners in every other sentence. Probably the funniest part is him bringing his 49ers helmet into a bank with him to get some money.

Adams had six sacks during his time with the Niners and went on to play for the Chicago Bears. In his post-playing career, he has been an actor, a TV host for baking shows, and posts comedic videos online.
Adams wasn’t the only former Niner to poke some fun at the whole situation, as Logan Ryan, a safety who played for the Niners briefly back in 2023, also posted his own video spoofing the whole Love saga.
It seems like this whole thing won’t be going away anytime soon. 49ers fans got to learn all about the electrical substation and made jokes about that last season, but now the 2026 campaign is going to be the year of Daejon Love jokes. Every time a wide receiver gets hurt, expect Love’s name to be invoked, and it would not be at all shocking if we see some No. 7 jerseys with the name Love on the back at Levi’s Stadium.
While it’s easy to poke fun at, it's sad if people truly gave their money to the guy. He allegedly duped plenty of people, so one can only hope they get their money back, and he is brought to justice. But it’s just another wild saga for San Francisco in an offseason where Kyle Shanahan get in a serious car crash and owner Jed York get arrested in a prostitution sting.
Something tells me the whole Daejon Love saga will not be the last wild thing to happen this year, as there always seems to be some sort of craziness or weirdness surrounding the franchise.
