The 49ers' calendar after the 2025 NFL Draft is set between now and the beginning of training camp later this summer.
The NFL does a great job of keeping fans entertained from the aftermath of the annual draft up to the starting of training camp and the preseason.
Padless practices are usually quite boring, but they do offer a glimpse of how teams like the San Francisco 49ers are coming together after free-agent pickups and the immersion of rookie talent from the NFL Draft the previous April.
Thankfully, for Niners fans itching to see how the 2025 squad will come about, they won't have to wait too long.
49ers key offseason dates revealed for 2025
Thanks to NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, San Francisco's offseason workouts are now public knowledge:
- Rookie minicamp: May 9 and 10
- Organized team activities (OTAs): May 27 and 28, May 30, June 2 and 3, June 5
- Mandatory minicamp: June 10 and 11
There are specific rules governing how offseason workouts can be planned, the number of days and what kind of activities can be performed.
Pads aren't worn, so there's no tackling. And teams can only perform certain drills for limited amounts of time.

All this is agreed upon between the league and players union.
Rookies and veterans will both attend OTAs, although it's important to note this is a voluntary session for the latter, meaning some well-established players may (or may not) be physically present for the activities.
Mandatory minicamp is, well... mandatory.
This phase of the offseason program lacks intensity, and many head coaches don't view it as a serious part of roster competition, rather opting to focus more on training camp, which typically kicks off toward the end of July.
