It has been clear for a while that there is a lot of love between San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and left tackle Trent Williams. A recent video captures the wholesome relationship between the two.

In a video shared by the Niners on social media, Williams is showering Purdy with praise on the practice field:

Williams says to Purdy, "I still remember the day you made the team. You were just so humble and happy. And I was like, 'This is what it's all about.' Like, actually seeing a feel-good story."

Purdy responds by saying, "That's wild," before the two shared and embrace as Purdy says, "Appreciate you, bro. Love you."

It is an incredibly sweet and wholesome interaction between the two players that speaks to the kind of people and the kind of leaders they are.

Williams is one of the most respected players in the NFL. At the age of 37, he is still considered one of the best left tackles in the game. His respect is not going to come easy with how long he has been in the game, so the fact that he felt that way about Purdy when he was just a young, scrappy rookie trying to prove himself speaks to the impression the Iowa State product made early on.

In a recent podcast appearance, Purdy talked about how upset he was that Williams had to miss time last season with an ankle injury. Purdy referred to Williams as his "safety blanket" and his "binky."

The bromance is very much real.

When Williams was asked about Purdy's $265 million contract extension, he was effusive in his praise. He talked about how Purdy really is a Cinderella story and that the success he has had could not have happened to a better guy. He also finished by saying he loved Purdy like a brother.

It is great to see this sort of genuine love between two of the most important players on the Niners. The relationship between a quarterback and his offensive line is always a special one, but the affection between Purdy and Williams seems to be genuine and special.

The 49ers will need both guys to be healthy and on their game if they want to have a good season. There would be no more wholesome moment than if the two shared an embrace on the field at Levi's Stadium after a Super Bowl victory which could be a reality this year if the stars align.
