The San Francisco 49ers have masterfully navigated some unfortunate injuries. Despite losing several key players on both sides of the ball, San Francisco is 5-2.

However, the Niners know things will only get more challenging as the season progresses. Two other teams in the NFC West are also 5-2, so the 49ers will have a tough road towards their goals.

Of course, things will get more manageable as some players return, but San Francisco should also consider making some trades to improve its roster.

One player, who is a perfect trade target for the 49ers, is actively hoping for a way out of his current situation. That player is Las Vegas Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers.

San Francisco should grant Meyers wish, and acquire the wideout.

49ers should trade for Jakobi Meyers, who is demanding a trade from Raiders

Meyers, who will be a free agent this offseason, requested a trade before the start of the season, after Las Vegas refused to extend him. The Raiders ignored his request, and the receiver showed up and went to work. Now, after Vegas went 2-5 through it’s first seven games, Meyers was asked if he still wants a trade, and the wideout quickly responded, "Oh, for sure."

The Niners should give Meyers what he wants and trade for him, because they could surely use him. San Francisco has played most of the season without wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk, Ricky Pearsall, and Jacob Cowing. The team has had to lean on Kendrick Bourne and Jauan Jennings, the latter who is also battling through multiple injuries.

Meyers is a consistent veteran receiver who has 29 receptions for 329 yards in six games this season. Last season, Meyers went over 1,000 yards for the first time in his career and continued a streak of four years with over 800 receiving yards.

That level of production would certainly be welcomed in San Francisco.
