49ers have several stars playing too well to be denied a Pro Bowl nod

The 2026 Pro Bowl will be very close to home for the San Francisco 49ers. So close, in fact, that it'll actually take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

The NFL's annual all-star game has had many iterations over the years. It's gone from a fully padded game with little to no defense or even tackling, to a seven-on-seven flag football game.

The venues for the Pro Bowl in the modern era have changed over the years, too, from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to Aloha Stadium in Hawaii. There have been several other stadiums that have hosted the event as well, with the last two being held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

The game has also been held at different times, going from a post-Super Bowl event to the Sunday between the weeks of the conference title games and the Super Bowl.

This year, however, the game will be held on the Tuesday before Super Bowl Sunday. By virtue of hosting Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium, the home of the San Francisco 49ers, festivities such as the Pro Bowl will also be held in the Bay Area.

Now, which Niners might be locks to earn Pro Bowl selections this season?

Let's take a look at some no-doubters.

49ers locks to make the 2026 Pro Bowl

RB Christian McCaffrey

One player on the 49ers that would be hard to imagine not getting a Pro Bowl selection this year is running back Christian McCaffrey.

Through 13 games this season, McCaffrey has 849 rushing yards and 806 receiving yards. He's on pace to be the first player in league history to have two seasons surpassing 1,000 yards in both rushing and receiving.

McCaffrey is also on pace to break the single-season record for receiving yards by a running back, set by Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk in 1999.

After sitting out for the majority of 2024 due to injury, McCaffrey is back with a vengeance, racking up the yards like crazy. He's a three-time Pro Bowler, and he should be looking at four at the end of this season.

FB Kyle Juszczyk

His backfield mate, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, is another lock to make the Pro Bowl. Fullbacks these days are an endangered species, but Juszczyk is his own unique breed at the position.

Whereas traditional fullbacks were bruising lead blockers. Juszczyk is a great lead blocker, as well as a great runner and a threat as a receiver out of the backfield.

The player fondly nicknamed "Juice" by the 49er Faithful is a perennial Pro Bowler, with nine selections in his past 12 seasons. Don't be surprised if Juice makes it to double-digit selections this season.

OT Trent Williams

Left tackle Trent Williams has been a Pro Bowler more times in his career than he's missed it. In his past 14 seasons, he's been selected to the Pro Bowl 11 times.

2025 is the first season that offensive linemen will be honored with the Protector of the Year award for the best at that position. There are several seasons in past years that Williams likely would've won that award, had it been around.

This year, he might not win Protector of the Year, but Williams should be a lock for the Pro Bowl. He's graded at 85.9 overall by Pro Football Focus, which puts him as the fifth-best tackle in the league and third-best in the NFC.

Pro Bowl voting ends next Monday, Dec. 15.

We'll see what happens from there, but don't be surprised to see multiple 49ers getting selected.
