The San Francisco 49ers officially announced a long-term partnership with Sutter Health, a not-for-profit health-delivery entity based out of Sacramento and serving the greater Northern California area.

And while it's great to see the Niners partnering up with an entity notably familiar to most of the Faithful living in NorCal, what the partnership ends up doing will actually be of serious interest.

For starters, part of the initiative is to help fans connect with healthcare wherever they may be. Should that be at Levi's Stadium, fans can get access to screenings, education and resources as they make their way to their seats to cheer on the red and gold.

From the press release provided from the 49ers to Niner Noise:

The partnership will further enhance the game-day experience at Levi's® Stadium, including Sutter Health Plaza and Gate C, as well as improved wellness-focused spaces such as first aid stations, nursing pods and a dedicated sensory room designed to support fans and families. Caregivers will also be recognized throughout the season with pre-game, on-field moments at every home game highlighting the impact of Sutter physicians and the patients they serve.

As for fans not in attendance, the Niners-Sutter partnership will see an effort to bring healthcare and wellness to communities across the region, including a new Community Fitness Zone that'll be represented both by Sutter Health and the 49ers.

"Partnering with Sutter Health reinforces our belief in providing the very best care and resources for 49ers fans," said 49ers COO Brent Schoeb. "Sutter Health's clinical expertise, comprehensive services and strong presence across Northern California make them a natural partner. The well-being of the Faithful drives us to innovate in every way we can, and we look forward to working together to better support the health of our fans and communities across the region.

"We are thrilled to work with Sutter Health to develop a partnership with a purpose, using the game of football for good beyond the playing field."

There are also going to be additional partnerships and initiatives stemming from the franchise's relationship with Sutter, all intended to support fans' health and wellness throughout various communities in the area.
