2023 NFL Draft: Still-available prospects 49ers desperately hope slip

No. 4: 49ers can hope cornerback Kelee Ringo continues to fall
JL Skinner likely wouldn’t make an immediate impact for the 49ers in year one.
Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo, however, easily could. And that might be why he’s a preferred target by the Niners over some of the other names who could be had on defense.
San Francisco already has a No. 1 corner in Charvarius Ward, but the No. 2 boundary spot is up in the air. Deommodore Lenoir could take it, yes, but an upgrade would be nice. Or bumping him inside and allowing for a fresh face to play the boundary might be the way to go, too.
That’s where the 6-foot-2 and 207-pound Ringo comes into play.
Not only does he possess a great body type for the position, but he’s also fast. He ran a 4.36 40-yard time at the NFL Combine, yet his skill set isn’t just about speed. He’s tough and physical, too, and the 49ers can only hope other teams aren’t in need of an ideal cornerback throughout the second and third rounds.
