2023 mock NFL Draft 3.0: Final 11th-hour edition (with trades)
On the clock: Pick No. 25: New York Giants – Jordan Addison, Wide Receiver, USC
Mock Draft 1.0 – Zay Flowers, Wide Receiver, Boston College
Mock Draft 2.0 – Jordan Addison, Wide Receiver, USC
The New York Giants need to surround quarterback Daniel Jones with as many weapons as possible now that they’ve paid him a lot of money. They definitely need one pick spent on a receiver, possibly even two.
Jordan Addison is a highly productive receiver headed into the NFL. Addison had 100 receptions for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns for the Pittsburgh Panthers before transferring to USC for 2022 where he had 59 receptions for 875 yards and eight touchdowns.
Addison has not had a good leadup to the draft which has affected his placing somewhat. He had to cut his NFL Combine short due to injury and then didn’t impress at the USC pro day in his last chance to rehabilitate his draft stock.
There’s a lot to like about Addison however. He has excellent speed and route-running ability, and his ability to find the endzone with his 25 combined receiving touchdowns (he also had a rushing touchdown in 2021) has also been a big consideration in making him a first-round talent.
