49ers NFL Draft sleeper target No. 6: TE Zack Kuntz, Old Dominion

The Niners have been trying to find a No. 2 tight end to pair with George Kittle for years now, and those attempts have been unsuccessful.

Perhaps Old Dominion’s Zack Kuntz changes all of that.

The Draft Network’s Tony Pauline predicts Kuntz will be a sixth-round pick, and there’s plenty of opportunity for San Francisco to grab him ahead of that with one of three picks in Round 5.

Especially with Kuntz being one of the notable standouts from this year’s NFL Scouting Combine where he also said he had a virtual meeting with the 49ers anyway:

Kuntz might not be a yards-after-catch specialist like Kittle. But the former has excellent hands and good route-running capabilities, and those could translate into a nice pickup on day three.
