On the clock: NFL Draft Pick No. 22: Baltimore Ravens – Zay Flowers, Wide Receiver, Boston College

Mock Draft 1.0 – Jordan Addison, Wide Receiver, USC

Rashod Bateman aside, the Baltimore Ravens are desperate for more help at receiver but failed to upgrade in free agency. They need help urgently, and Zay Flowers would be an excellent prospect given he could go much earlier than this.

Flowers had an excellent season for Boston College with 78 receptions for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Eagles. While he is a small receiver at 5-foot-10 and 172 pounds, he was productive on the outside as well as in the slot.

Flowers didn’t have a slam dunk in the Combine, but he flashed exactly why teams like him at the Boston College pro day. He’s quick and dynamic, a threat to take it to the house on any touch.

Teams will need to make a decision on whether or not Flowers is strictly a slot receiver or can be used on the outside at the NFL given his small stature. It won’t matter for the Ravens, though, who need help all over.

Drops can be a problem for Flowers, which he will need to work on for the next level and does set him apart from the top receiver prospects, but there’s no doubting he’s an electric prospect for the NFL.
