3 possible trade packages for 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy

Quarterback Brock Purdy certainly had himself a season to remember in 2022, but what if the 49ers are still sold on handing the keys to Trey Lance?

Slow the hate. Let me start out by saying that in no way do I see this happening, but since we’ve analyzed the possible trade of Trey Lance, let’s give the world some balance and see what Brock Purdy might be worth.

Last year, the San Francisco 49ers had a series of ups and downs, in large part due to injury. If those injuries didn’t happen, Purdy would be just another name on the roster until he proved otherwise.

With that being said, doing what he did in relief in only half a season is nothing short of spectacular.

In fact, with the season looking like it was over against the Miami Dolphins, the word “miracle” just might be more fitting.

However, let us not forget that football is a business, and the only way to make it in business is to weigh every decision by never consulting your heart. Your decisions must be calculated, and when pulling the trigger on making deals, you have to leave your humanity at the door.

“Mr. Relevant” has a very bright future ahead of him, and for Niners fans, he has brought excitement back to Santa Clara in ways that are unimaginable.

But, no one is untouchable in terms of trades and contract negotiations. Remember, from a management perspective, even quarterback Joe Montana and wide receiver Jerry Rice were expendable.

At face value, this is Purdy’s team without question. Since none of us are in the driver’s seat, though, let’s analyze three possible Purdy trade packages if San Francisco wanted to sell high.
