Davante Adams not happy with Jimmy Garoppolo joining Raiders?
By Peter Panacy
Jimmy Garoppolo is leaving the 49ers in NFL free agency for the Raiders, but it doesn’t appear he has a fan in Davante Adams.
There’ll be plenty of debate about whether or not the Las Vegas Raiders actually upgraded at quarterback from Derek Carr to Jimmy Garoppolo.
Carr, who was let go from his Raiders obligations prior to the opening wave of NFL free agency, signed a lucrative deal with the New Orleans Saints.
Meanwhile, Jimmy G is departing his six-year tenure with the San Francisco 49ers for a new adventure in southern Nevada.
It’s a three-year deal for the former Niners signal-caller, and he’ll reunite with his former offensive coordinator with the New England Patriots, Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels.
Garoppolo will also have one of the NFL’s most prolific wide receivers in Davante Adams, too.
But it doesn’t appear as if Adams is overly thrilled with the free-agent transaction.
Davante Adams posts cryptic Instagram post, is it about Jimmy Garoppolo going to Raiders?
Mere hours after news of Garoppolo heading to Las Vegas broke, Adams shared a not-so-encouraging Instagram post that appeared to signal plenty of dissatisfaction with the Raiders’ changing of the guard at quarterback.
NFL insider Ari Meirov shared the post on Twitter:
“If we haven’t talked in the last 3 weeks don’t hit me about this s**t. Thanks,” posted Adams.
Is this about Garoppolo?
Perhaps.

Adams and Carr spent collegiate days at Fresno State, and Carr’s presence with the Raiders was one of the reasons why the perennial All-Pro wideout left the Green Bay Packers to don the silver and black in 2022.
Too bad for Adams that relationship on the field with Carr only spanned a season.
And, if Annie Agar is correct, Adams isn’t thrilled about Carr’s replacement:
It looks as if Adams said just as much. Perhaps more.
