Let’s be real, the New England Patriots need a veteran quarterback. Who better than their old backup, Jimmy Garoppolo?

Quarterback Mac Jones hasn’t exactly been the star the Patriots were hoping for. Jones fell in the 2021 NFL Draft to New England after the 49ers, and multiple other teams decided to take other quarterbacks or positions.

It looked to potentially be a steal at 15th overall.

This is a perfect scenario for Garoppolo. We’ve already seen the impact he has on a locker room, how he’s willing to mentor his fellow quarterbacks even if it means they take over, and the fact he simply wins.

The Patriots offense includes former Niners wide receiver Kendrick Bourne who would be an instant connection for Jimmy G. New England currently holds the 14th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, too, and they could look for a young receiver for Garoppolo to build chemistry with.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick is potentially nearing the end of his coaching career, so you know he wants to win a few more Super Bowl rings.
