2023 NFL Draft, Pick No. 20: Seattle Seahawks: Henry To’oTo’o, Linebacker, Alabama
Cody Barton is out of contract and a liability in coverage. Seattle needs to do everything it can to take on the 49ers’ many weapons on offense, and Henry To’oTo’o has had a big season to put himself into first-round contention.
A rangy linebacker who can cover running backs and tight ends equally well, To’oTo’o recorded 94 tackles and 2.5 sacks for Alabama this season.
To’oTo’o is already an excellent run defender for the NFL. His instincts get him into position easily, and he’s a rugged competitor who can take the hit. Combined with his ability to cover in the passing game, To’oTo’o is a three-down linebacker for the next level.
An intelligent player, To’oTo’o will test well at the Alabama pro day as well as the NFL Combine. His speed allows him to go sideline to sideline, and this combined with his instincts allows him to be a weapon anywhere on the field.
Don’t be surprised if To’oTo’o is drafted much higher than expected, given the physical and mental assets at his disposal.
Linebackers sometimes don’t get drafted as highly as they should, but he could be an exception.
