Sunday’s NFC Championship Game will feature a level of competitive intensity that 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has yet to be exposed to.

The Philadelphia Eagles fly together. And when they fly, they swarm. That said, Purdy’s managed to stay composed during (counts ’em up) every start he’s made thus far, including home playoff showdowns with the Seattle Seahawks (tough first half, eventual blowout) and Dallas Cowboys (gritty, scrappy defensive showdown).

Purdy looked better against the inferior defense (BREAKING!), but he made winning plays in both games. Now, the ultimate Mr. Irrelevant underdog will get the chance to lead a team of underdogs into Philadelphia to face the team that most embraced the underdog en route to their franchise’s lone Super Bowl win back in 2018.

After this one, who will get to wear the dog mask? And how can you watch it?

How to watch Eagles vs. 49ers in the NFC Championship Game

The 49ers’ latest appearance in the NFC Championship Game will air on FOX nationally, beginning at 12:00 PM PST (3:00 PM EST). It will be the first game of Sunday’s two-game slate, and will take place in beautiful (eh) Philadelphia, PA. As soon as the final whistle sounds, NFL fans can tune to CBS to watch the AFC Championship Game between Cincinnati and Kansas City (sounds familiar).

Only thing missing from last year is the Los Angeles Rams and Jimmy G’s jawline (though I’m sure you’ll see the latter a few times on Sunday).

If you’re not by a television, the radio broadcast will steam on KNBR, the 49ers’ flagship station locally.

Fingers crossed this year’s edition of the NFC Championship Game is more fruitful than last season’s, which we have opted to forget.

If the 49ers advance, the forthcoming Super Bowl will air on FOX as well, so get used to this broadcast team. It won’t be the dulcet tones of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman anymore, unless that duo happens to be sitting in the stands near a hot mic grousing about how they’re contractually banned from covering this exciting game.

Kevin Burkhardt. Greg Olsen. Erin Andrews. Brock Purdy. Get into it.
