Wondering what drinking game 49ers fans will be enjoying during their NFC Championship game parties? Well, there’s a study about that and the answer may surprise you.

If you spend any time outside Levi’s Stadium on a San Francisco 49ers game day, you’ll probably take in a few sights and smells.

Perhaps it’s the tailgate food being cooked, or maybe fans have some amazing spreads and setups. You might catch others tossing a football around, and there’s always a good time to be had regardless.

Oh, and there’s probably some imbibing in adult beverages, too.

Drinks and drinking games go hand in hand, right? Of course, they do. Sipping a favorite beverage is one thing, but turning it into a pregame game is so much better.

The Niners may not be playing at home for the 2023 NFC Championship game. No, they’ll be traveling to take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.

However, with plenty of watch parties and home parties to entertain The Faithful, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy some fun-filled drinking games.

And you might be surprised what the most popular drinking game for San Francisco fans might be.

The most popular 49ers drinking game is…?

You’d be forgiven for thinking the most popular drinking game among 49ers fans would be something like beer pong or flip cup. Most of us remember our college days, right?

Or at least when we hung out with our friends who went off to college while we saved our money.

It’s neither of those games, though. Instead, the most popular and searched drinking game in all of California is “I Drink and I Know Things.”

That might have blindsided you, but if you’re a Game of Thrones fan, perhaps you’re not surprised.

This data was accumulated by Yellow Octopus, and they analyze all kinds of interesting data about nearly everything. As for the most popular drinking game in Pennsylvania, it’s Ride the Bus, which also happens to be the most popular and searched drinking game in Cincinnati, Ohio, too.

Either way, if you’re going to be partying it up during NFC Championship weekend, have fun with your drinking games but please be responsible and safe.
