49ers Stud No. 1: Linebacker Fred Warner

Usually, the entire defense would be a stud, collectively, but the efforts of linebacker Fred Warner on Sunday stood out, to say the least.

His efforts on the day included nine total tackles, an interception inside the Cowboys’ red zone when they were threatening to score and the ability to be in two places at once.

For lack of better words, Warner was literally everywhere.

With the first half unbelievably close, he was the “only” factor that kept San Francisco in the game through the first 30 minutes.

He is the undeniable leader of the 49ers defense and arguably the most complete linebacker in the game today. In fact, the only accolade missing from his resume to this day is a Super Bowl championship.

If he continues to play “lights out” as he did in the divisional playoff round, he should be adding that to his repertoire at the beginning of February.
