No. 1: 49ers QB Brock Purdy

Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy will be making his sixth NFL start on Saturday against the Seahawks.

Oh, and by the way, in those first five starts, he’s 5-0. He’s thrown for 1,374 yards, 13 touchdowns and only four interceptions.

Although he didn’t make his first NFL start until Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he’s been reaching prestigious accolades all along the way.

He was named NFC Offensive Rookie of the Month for December/January, and he was named the Week 16 winner of the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week award and once again was nominated for the award for Week 18.

Purdy is coming into his own as an NFL QB, and he’s faced a number of different challenges in those five starts. He’s contributed to blowouts and also had challenging shootouts.

A playoff game though will be a new challenge for him. Based on his previous performances though, he looks up to the challenge.
