The San Francisco 49ers have had tremendous success in their history against the Cincinnati Bengals as they are 13-4 all-time against this uncommon AFC opponent. However, they have only played against quarterback Joe Burrow once — a contest ultimately was decided by a field goal in overtime as the Niners narrowly escaped with the win.

Since then, Burrow has taken the next leap forward and distinguished himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. The Bengals won 10 of 11 games (including 8 straight wins) to close out the 2022 regular season.
