Takeaways from San Francisco 49ers dominant win over Cardinals
The Brock Purdy-George Kittle connection will be vital for the playoffs
Quarterback Brock Purdy has been a revelation since stepping into the role, and one of the reasons that this is so is because of his developed chemistry with tight end George Kittle who once against scored multiple touchdowns.
Kittle has been on the run of his career, recording his seventh touchdown in only four games with the highlight being an excellent fingertip catch down the back of the endzone.
Kittle is almost impossible to defend with his mixture of size and speed, and Purdy has done a phenomenal job in utilizing him both in redzone situations as well as hitting him in the open field.
Look for this connection to continue in the playoffs as Purdy will continue to go to him. There’s no use fixing what isn’t broke. He performed well on the day going 15-for-20 passing for 178 yards and three touchdowns.
As for Kittle, he’ll fulfill his promise of returning to the Super Bowl sooner rather than later the way he’s been balling out for San Francisco. He finished the game with four receptions for 29 yards and those two touchdowns.
