No. 3 concern 49ers have with Raiders: Josh Jacobs is good

Las Vegas has some notable offensive weapons who can do damage to the Niners defense, including an old nemesis from the Green Bay Packers, wide receiver Davante Adams.

Adams’ prowess might take a step back with Jarrett Stidham under center, yet the Raiders offense figures to take pressure off Stidham, too, by refocusing and recommitting to the rushing attack.

That means a lot from Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs, who already has a whopping 1,539 rush yards on the season with 11 touchdowns and is averaging 5 yards per carry. Tack on his 369 receiving yards entering this week, and it’s safe to say Jacobs has to be a primary focal point for San Francisco.

It’s a good thing the 49ers have been exceptionally stout against the run this year, holding opponents to a league-best 3.3 yards per rush attempt.

That said, Vegas’ offensive line is excellent in run support, and it’ll look to wear down a notably undermanned Niners defensive line that is dealing with some injuries to its depth chart.

If Jacobs has a big day, San Francisco is in trouble.
