Santa brought these Christmas gifts to 49ers fans this year

49ers Christmas gift No. 4: Brock Purdy

It’s crazy to think 31 other teams passed up on rookie quarterback Brock Purdy.

But they did, until the 49ers grabbed him with the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, making him this year’s version of Mr. Irrelevant.

However, following the injury to Jimmy Garoppolo, Purdy has been tasked with coming in and saving the Niners’ season, even turning into the feature piece of Bleacher Report’s comedy, Gridiron Heights, and Purdy needs to rescue San Francisco’s Christmas season:

Let’s just assume Purdy has done that, particularly in beating future Hall of Famer Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his debut as an NFL starter.

That alone was a pretty good gift from Santa, and there’ll hopefully be more and more for the rest of the holidays.
