49ers stud: LB Dre Greenlaw

Fred Warner rightfully gets the bulk of credit for being the 49ers’ top linebacker.

Week 14, however, was all about his linemate, Dre Greenlaw.

Not only did Greenlaw come away with a team-high 15 tackles, as well as being all over the field and around the ball on seemingly every play. But Greenlaw also picked off Tom Brady during the third quarter to ensure the Niners defense would keep its foot down on Tampa Bay’s dimming chances of staging a comeback:

Interestingly enough, Greenlaw went over to Brady after the game and asked him to autograph the interception ball (Brady did).

As entertaining as that might be, Greenlaw’s on-field efforts were a big reason why the Buccaneers averaged only 3.6 yards per play during the game.

A clear stud as any on San Francisco’s defense.
