The 49ers square off against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers today, and Niner Noise has your latest injury updates, betting odds and how you can watch live.

Had quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo not suffered what possibly could be a season-ending injury last week against the Miami Dolphins, the biggest storyline of the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 14 matchup against the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be quarterback Tom Brady returning to Northern California to square off in a one-on-one matchup against his longtime backup with the New England Patriots.

Alas, the matchup we now get to see is Brady versus Mr. Irrelevant, Niners rookie signal-caller Brock Purdy.

Nothing against Purdy, but that’s kind of a downer of a matchup. Although fans and analysts alike will be talking about Brady squaring off against his boyhood team.

He’ll be squaring off against the NFL’s best defense, too, which figures to take advantage of the Bucs’ own offensive challenges. And with San Francisco’s defense looking to pressure Brady throughout the game, it’ll hope one of its star players actually is available and not inactive with an injury.

49ers injury report vs. Buccaneers Week 14

The 49ers are very close to being without the NFL’s leading sack specialist, EDGE Nick Bosa, because of a hamstring injury.

Officially listed as questionable, Bosa didn’t practice this week and is on the Niners’ Week 14 injury report:

  • QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot): OUT
  • DL Hassan Ridgeway (pectoral): OUT
  • DB Tarvarius Moore (knee): OUT
  • DE Nick Bosa (hamstring): Questionable

San Francisco isn’t going to place Garoppolo on injured reserve yet, if at all, so he’ll hang out on the weekly inactive list for the time being.

Both Ridgeway and Moore are expected to miss some time.

49ers vs. Buccaneers odds, spread, over/under and betting pick Week 14

The 49ers have stayed pretty consistent home favorites for this tilt, according to the oddsmakers over at WynnBET. Currently, the Niners are 3.5-point favorites, and their moneyline is -185. The Buccaneers’ moneyline, meanwhile, is +155.

The over/under for the game is 37.5.

Considering San Francisco has to roll out Purdy against a good Bucs defense, combined with Tampa Bay’s own offensive challenges and having to match up against the 49ers’ top-ranked defense, too, it’s probably safe to guess this is a low-scoring game.

One the Niners wind up winning by a score of 21-13.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
