49ers stud: K Robbie Gould
In a game where only 13 points were scored, veteran kicker Robbie Gould was responsible for seven of them. He went one for one on extra-pointers and two for two on field goals.
The first score of the game saw Gould make a 24-yard attempt in the first quarter, and he would later add another score from 46 yards out in the third quarter.
In his 18th season, Gould has a field-goal percentage of 82.4, and the percentage is 96.2 in extra-point attempts.
Where points looked to be scarce, the 49ers’ kicker provided much-needed support to the offense, and that kind of prowess was much-needed on a day when the Niners were struggling to gain much offensive traction elsewhere.
