Takeaway No. 2: Nick Bosa continues to write himself a bigger check

When it comes to the offseason, the Niners are just going to have to shove a blank check in front of EDGE Nick Bosa and see what he writes on it.

Odds are, they’ll be wise to pay it.

Bosa sacked Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy at the end of the first half and now has 10.5 sacks in nine games this season, which places him second in the league despite missing a game with a groin injury earlier.

Keep in mind, Bosa takes on countless double teams and holds on the field. The offensive lines of opposing teams often key in on him, since San Francisco seldom blitzes and prefers just to send four rushers after the quarterback.

Bosa looks as good as he ever has, and is the crown jewel in the 49ers’ defensive line. He’s obviously the complete package in every way and looks almost incapable of having a bad game.

It’ll be interesting to see what the final stats for Bosa will be this season. All that can be said for sure is he can’t have done much more to squeeze every last dollar for his big payday.
