49ers vs. Cardinals: Bold predictions for Monday Night Football in Mexico

49ers vs. Cardinals bold prediction No. 5: Niners win on a last-second field goal
Remember that part about San Francisco winning on Monday Night Football despite the Cardinals covering the spread?
Well, here’s where all of that comes together.
Even if Arizona’s ground game has struggled, the 49ers boast a top-level defense and Kyler Murray is banged up to the point where he might not play, the fact that head coach Kyle Shanahan is 3-7 against the Cardinals since 2017 suggests this game won’t be a walkaway victory for the red and gold.

All a Niners fan needs to do is recall how backup quarterback Colt McCoy dominated San Francisco when Murray was out with an injury in Week 9 last year, and that’ll suggest this game can still be close if Arizona is down to its second-string signal-caller.
At any rate, both defenses are likely to be gassed by the end of the game because of the elevation, and Shanahan might merely be playing for the last possession of regulation where he can take advantage of the thin air and kicker Robbie Gould’s leg to give the 49ers a game-winning field goal with the clock expiring.
A lot of things would have to play out this way to happen, but that seems like a logical outcome.
