Stud: Nick Bosa

Another game, another dominant performance and another feather in the cap for what’s becoming a big year for Nick Bosa.

The defining feature of Bosa’s game is pretty simple in a way: If you’re forced to throw the ball, sooner or later, he’s going to come after you.

To the Chargers’ credit, they were able to mostly mitigate Bosa’s influence in the first half as Justin Herbert was able to find receivers open pretty quickly and not give Bosa the time to penetrate the backfield.

But as defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans is doing week in and week out for the most half, the adjustments made for the second half made a huge difference.

Bosa recorded only the single sack for the night, but that doesn’t do justice to the game he played. He should have had a second sack, but defensive end Jordan Willis got there just a fraction of a second before him.

Whatever contract the 49ers give him after this season, there won’t be a single fan who thinks the price will be too high.
