Stud: Jimmy Garoppolo

There’s genuinely not been many duds this week, so we’ll replace that with another stud in quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo who simply loves playing the Rams it must be said.

Jimmy G had two poor throws during the game, where Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsay almost intercepted him twice when the quarterback failed to spot him in the way.

But those throws aside, Garoppolo was very efficient and almost flawless in the second half after the offense finally got moving.

Garoppolo finished on 21-of-25 passing for 235 yards and two touchdowns (to George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey) along with a quarterback sneak that predictably went for a first down.

It would be too much to call it a flawless performance when you consider the two dropped interceptions, but on the whole, he did what he had to do. If Garoppolo has performances like this one throughout the rest of the season, the 49ers should be comfortably in the playoffs.

If he can get those few throws every week that raise some eyebrows out of his performances, the Niners could do a lot more than just make the playoffs.
