Fantasy football start ’em: WR Brandon Aiyuk

Fantasy football owners have the pleasure of picking between two producing wide receivers on the 49ers roster, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.

Samuel, as if you needed this education, is a must-start option in every league, so there’d be no context in which you’d want to place him on the bench.

Aiyuk, however, is a bit more of a gamble, and he’s had some up-and-down weeks this season so far. However, following an 83-yard, two-touchdown performance against Atlanta, it’s safe to say he’s probably hitting a bit of a hot streak.

KC is likely to focus the bulk of its defensive attention on Samuel, meaning Aiyuk will see plenty of one-on-one matchups against a scheme that utilizes plenty of man coverage, something the third-year wide receiver has fared well against in the past.

And with Kansas City having allowed 1,596 yards through the air (27th in the league) and 15 passing touchdowns (most in the league), there’s a fair chance Aiyuk winds up having yet another statement game for those owners who rostered him.
