The 49ers square off against the Cardinals in Mexico City in Week 11 as part of the NFL International series, and here’s how you can watch the game live.
The 2022 NFL International series of games kicks off in Week 4 with the Minnesota Vikings squaring off against the New Orleans Saints across the pond over in London.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers will have to wait a few more weeks before their out-of-country game, but they do partake in the league’s efforts to expand beyond the borders of the United States.
As part of the international series, the Niners will travel to Mexico City, Mexico, to take on their NFC West division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals, in Week 11.
These two teams actually squared off against each other in Mexico City way back in 2005 in what was then the NFL’s first regular-season game outside of the United States.
When and where do 49ers play Cardinals in Mexico City?
The game will be played at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico, which was the site of that same 2005 game between these two teams.
San Francisco and Arizona close out Week 11’s slate of games on Monday Night Football in Week 11, kickoff being at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday, Nov. 21.
49ers vs. Cardinals: Who is the home team for Week 11 NFL game?
Technically, this is a road game for the Niners. The Cardinals will actually be the home team even though it’s at a neutral site.

ESPN will provide the national broadcast for Monday Night Football in Week 11.
