817. . . . B.J. Ojulari, LSU. 6. player

B.J. Ojulari and Zion Zion Tupuola-Fetui could be risers in 2023.

Pro scouts are going to have a field day at LSU Tigers games this season while watching this guy. Last time around, much was expected of Ali Gaye, but he wound up getting injured. That led to an excellent season by B.J. Ojulari.

In total, he added 54 tackles and seven sacks to the Bayou Bengals’ cause, and with it being his show and his show alone in 2022, more fireworks are expected. Write his name down if you haven’t already. He’s expected to put on a show.

. . . Zion Tupuola-Fetui, Washington. 5. player. 818

Zion Tupuola-Fetui is someone who probably makes more sense as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defensive scheme, but for a team like the 49ers, if they can’t find a way to feature a guy this talented in any defense they feel like running, they need to rethink their strategy to figure out a way in which they can.

With Joe Tryon’s decision to sit out of the 2020 Washington Huskies’ campaign, Tupuola-Fetui proved himself worthy, racking up 13 tackles, seven sacks, and three forced fumbles in three games (that isn’t a misprint). He tore his Achilles in the spring of 2021 but returned in October and wound up with nine tackles and a sack in two games.

Much rides on the coming campaign, but he should be up to the task. Keep an eye on him as he could be someone that rises.
