49ers Tight End: George Kittle

There is little to be said here: George Kittle is, at his worst, the fourth-best tight end in the NFL, and at his best, the clear top dog at the position.

No one on the 49ers roster will come close to touching him for the right to start this season.

The question for Kittle will be how much his raw offensive production can increase as the offense shifts. With the exception of one year, Kittle has not garnered the pure counting stats players of his renown usually do.

While the Niners may shift to an even heavier run focus, the hope is that an offense more predicated on deep shots and chunk plays might unlock an aspect of Kittle we haven’t seen before.

It’ll be a big year for San Francisco’s star tight end.
