49ers player No. 2: Cornerback Richard Sherman

OK, so he’s not a current San Francisco player, but he’s surely a high-profile alumnus.

It would be awesome to see All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman up in the broadcast booth at some point. And as long as we’re on the subject of collegiate education, Sherman’s communications degree from Stanford should go a long way.

Few in the league have broken down playmaking in a more truthful and poignant manner than Sherman, and he always got right to the point when analyzing anything with relevance to the NFL. You can even check out the Richard Sherman Podcast to see just how.

If you were wondering, it appears as if Sherman is already lining up the opportunities to join the broadcasting ranks, as reports state he’s possibly working out a deal with Amazon to be part of their coverage for the upcoming 2022 season.

Sherman is still an NFL player and free agent, though, so his playing priorities may come first before he elects to step behind a microphone.

Still, it’d be awesome to hear his commentary on game day.
