NFL Draft Pick No. 15: Philadelphia Eagles – Jordan Davis, Defensive Tackle, Georgia

Fletcher Cox is back for one more year but the Philadelphia Eagles need to look to the future, and Jordan Davis is a very talented defensive tackle that could be a terrorizing presence for a team.

Davis is a man mountain at 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds, and you only need to look at his tape to see it. He’s almost impossible to block with his power and technique, and even double teams don’t necessarily work against him,

Davis isn’t an elite pass-rusher from the inside like you would expect from an Aaron Donald, but he’s still been a solid presence with two sacks in his senior season which isn’t indicative of how well he played for Georgia. Teams will see further potential, too, after he ran a staggering 4.78 seconds in the 40-yard dash which simply shouldn’t be possible.

And indeed, his entire combine was exceptional. Davis is a rare physical specimen of a 340-pound man with the speed and moves of someone 40 pounds lighter.

Davis requires some molding, but you simply cannot deny the rare physical gifts that he possesses.
