No. 2 player on 49ers NFL Draft big board: IOL Dylan Parham, Memphis

Take all the needs the 49ers have to either upgrade over Daniel Brunskill and/or eventually replace Alex Mack, then hope the Niners have a better chance to grab an interior offensive line prospect who should be ranked just a few notches above Luke Fortner.

According to many an NFL Draft big board, that’s precisely where Memphis interior lineman Dylan Parham will rank.

At 6-foot-3 and 311 pounds, Parham is likely a squarely in-the-middle-of-Round 2 pick, meaning San Francisco might have to hope he falls down to No. 61 if it intends to draft him without having to trade up.

Even if the 49ers moved up, though, Parham might be worth it.

Having run a sub-5.0 40-yard time at the NFL Combine, there’s little questioning Parham’s movement skills, and he’s equally competent in pass protection as he is in run support.

While Parham might be a tad undersized as an interior lineman, he makes up for it with sound technique. And also like Fortner, Parham is flexible enough to assume any of the three spots along the interior of an O-line, too.

Simply put, Parham is O-line choice 1A while Fortner is 1B.
