All teams lose players to free agency, the 49ers included, and some are more important than others. Here are three free agents we won’t exactly miss.

With a new offseason beginning, the San Francisco 49ers will be looking to make the necessary adjustments to their roster to go further than they did in 2021 in search for a sixth Super Bowl victory.

The most important part of the offseason for the Niners will no doubt be NFL free agency. As a contending team without a pick in the first round of the NFL Draft, improvement will more than likely come from which veterans they can sign for a Super Bowl push.

And in contrast, which of their own key free agents they can convince to sign extensions and spurn the advances of rival organizations.

It’ll be a keen battle to watch, but also on the free agency list are players the franchise (as well as fans) may not be so keen to see retained on the team in 2022.

Not all players are created equal. You have your superstars, starters and key depth pieces. Then you have those who seem to draw either ire or complete indifference during their tenure for San Francisco.

Which is not to belittle or criticize their effort in any way for the team, but more so just an observation they could be seen as upgradeable for next season.

Here are three free agents who won’t exactly be missed should they sign elsewhere for 2022.
