The San Francisco 49ers opened the year with a 3-5 record. The offense was struggling, averaging a middling 23.1 points per game (PPG), and the calls to bench Jimmy Garoppolo grew louder with each passing week.

But everything changed against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. Kyle Shanahan unveiled a new wrinkle to his offense, unleashing Deebo Samuel as a rusher for the first time all year. The team never looked back. San Francisco’s new-look offense averaged 27.3 PPG while winning seven of the eight regular-season games that Deebo appeared in.

The 49ers and Rams will meet again this Sunday – this time in the NFC Championship. And you can bet Shanahan has big plans for the focal point of his offense this weekend.

Deebo Samuel Prop Bets

WynnBET has set the over/under for Deebo’s receiving yards at o/u 54.5 with -125 odds on the over. That’s a really compelling prop.

Deebo absolutely torched the Rams this season. He put 97 receiving yards against them in that Week 10 game and recorded 95 receiving yards in a must-win Week 18 clash. Dominating LA isn’t exactly new for him, either.

The third-year wideout faced LA twice last season, tallying 199 receiving yards while clearing this prop with ease in both games. All told, Deebo has recorded at least 66 receiving yards in four straight outings against the Rams, averaging 97.8 per game in that time.

Yes, Deebo’s receiving numbers have taken a hit in the second half as his role as a rusher expanded. But that change was made in Week 10, and Deebo still averaged 65.4 receiving yards per game to finish out the regular season and cleared this mark in four of his last six appearances.

Deebo is just a rare talent; the guy is absolutely capable of eclipsing this prop on one play. He had nine receptions go for 40-plus yards this season, tying him for the best such mark in football.

With the way Deebo is playing right now, particularly against the Rams, this total just feels too low. We’re rolling with the over on 54.5 receiving yards for the 26-year-old stud.
