49ers Stud: Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel

New week, the same story.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel continues to will his team to victory. His stat line continues to grow, but still more amazing than that, no one has found a way to stop him.

For the third consecutive week, Samuel gained over 100 total yards. In fact, after a slow start by the run game, he gained more than 100 yards in the second half alone.

On a critical 3rd-and-7 with 1:03 remaining, Samuel took the game into his own hands yet again. His extra effort resulted in a much-needed first down and put kicker Robbie Gould closer for the game-winner.

Unfortunately, Samuel limped to the sideline with an apparent ankle injury. Hopefully, it’s minor and he’ll be ready to go on Sunday in the NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams.

His contributions in Green Bay: 10 rushes for 39 yards, 44 yards receiving and a 45-yard kickoff return.

He continues to elevate his game into the history books. In fact, the 49ers are now 8-0 when Samuel has six or more rushing attempts. He’s so good that he’s got the front office talking about a “blockbuster” contract extension when they should be focused solely on the NFC Championship.

Regardless, of what Samuel does for the remainder of the playoffs, he’s going to be a part of the organization for a very long time.
