George Kittle hilariously attacks Kyle Shanahan after Trey Lance TD
By Peter Panacy
During the 49ers win over the Texans in Week 17, George Kittle was so excited after a Trey Lance touchdown, he went right after Kyle Shanahan.
There’s no questioning San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is one of the most entertaining personalities in the NFL right now.
And while Kittle was held to just one catch for 29 yards during the Niners’ 23-7 Week 17 win over the Houston Texans, nevertheless an impressive one-handed grab on a throw from rookie quarterback Trey Lance where Kittle was being held, the All-Pro tight end still managed to be all over the place during the game and impacted it in many other ways.
Lance surely looks to Kittle to boost him up, and that’ll be a vital part of the first-year pro’s maturation process.
But, at least according to head coach Kyle Shanahan, Kittle can sometimes get a little out of control.
For all the right reasons.
George Kittle enthusiasm creates funny moment with Kyle Shanahan
There’s no shortage of entertainment when Kittle is wearing a microphone on game day, and fans can always get used to his Mic’d Up features, including him wearing one against the Texans.

At the 3:50 mark of the video, just seconds after Lance launched a 45-yard touchdown to wide receiver Deebo Samuel, Kittle’s celebrations spilled over.
The enthusiasm Kittle has for Lance and Samuel is infectious. But that’s not the hilarious part. As Kittle is running back to the sidelines, you can watch him give a “loving” shove to Shanahan, certainly pushing him hard enough in an expression of pure excitement.

Kyle Shanahan jokingly advises to stay away from George Kittle celebrations
Not surprisingly, Kittle’s reaction to Lance’s touchdown came up in weekly press conferences following the game.
When asked if he thought Kittle’s enthusiasm would be a boost for Lance, Shanahan delivered quite the humorous response:
"I would rather Trey avoid Kittle after plays. I appreciate the encouragement, but Kittle for some reason can’t control his aggressiveness. Trey definitely can handle it better than me, but I run from Kittle after good things because he will not change how he hits people no matter what. Whether they have pads on or not, whether they’re on your team, he just gets too excited. So best thing is to avoid Kittle in those moments because he is an injury waiting to happen."

Pretty funny.
And it certainly doesn’t look as if Kittle will contain himself anytime soon, and that’s probably a good thing despite what Shanahan jokingly says.
