No. 3: 49ers must attack Texans offensive line

The Texans offensive line has a ton of issues, and a matchup against EDGE Nick Bosa and Co. isn’t looking great for them. Bosa is having his best season yet and currently has 15 sacks on the year.

A big day could be on the horizon for the 49ers defensive line, which should overpower an offensive line that has allowed five-plus sacks in three games this season. Other NFC West teams found a lot of success against Houston, with the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals both recording five sacks in their respective games.

Bosa has been on fire as of late, recording a sack in six of his last seven games, and can still break the franchise sack record, the one former EDGE Aldon Smith set with 19.5 sacks in 2012, and if Bosa tallies five sacks in these final two games, he can break it.

He will likely draw some attention from Pro Bowl tackle Laremy Tunsil, but Bosa’s versatility allows him to move across the line. According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Bosa has played an almost identical amount of snaps on both the left and right sides of the line.

The Niners D-line should accumulate a lot of pressure when they face Houston on Sunday.
