Which 49ers make Santa’s naughty and nice lists in 2021?

Santa’s naughty list: RT Tom Compton

For the most part, Santa should be rewarding the 49ers offensive line for the impressive efforts put together this season.

But if there’s one player Santa might not be overly thrilled with in 2021, it’s veteran right tackle Tom Compton.

Sure, Compton shouldn’t be starting anyway, but a season-ending quad injury to Mike McGlinchey opened up the need for Compton to take over at right tackle.

Unfortunately, as far as the nice list goes, Compton hasn’t exactly done enough to warrant receiving plenty of presents under the tree this holiday season.

Entering Week 17, Compton had already allowed four sacks at 15 quarterback pressures, which isn’t being very nice to Jimmy Garoppolo. And Compton’s naughty efforts in pass protection haven’t helped the rest of his O-line mates much either, so they’ll be hoping Santa doesn’t give him the kind of gifts they’d be receiving.
