No. 1: 49ers hold Titans to no more than 14 points

Niner Noise’s “basic” game prediction, which you can check out here, cited the Niners winning in Nashville by a score of 21-17 and covering WynnBET’s current spread naming San Francisco a 3.5-point favorite.

Let’s go bold, though, and suggest the 49ers do even better by holding the Titans to no more than 14 points.

This isn’t just turning the wrench on our previous prediction either.

During their last six games, the Niners have allowed an average of 18.7 points per game. Pretty good, but not quite at our lofty goal of holding Tennessee to 14 points.

Instead, let’s mesh what the Titans have done, offensively. Or, putting it more bluntly, what they haven’t been able to do as of late: score.

Over the stretch of losing three of its last four, Tennessee has scored an average of 14.8 points per contest. And in three of those games, the Titans offense mustered a mere 13 points, including games against questionable defenses like those of the Steelers and Houston Texans.

If San Francisco’s pass rush is on point and Ryan Tannehill struggles to move the ball, the 49ers allowing no more than 14 points to Tennessee is certainly within reach.
