49ers Winner: Tight End George Kittle

Tight end George Kittle was the player who helped set up what could have been Robbie Gould’s game-winning field goal in regulation, making a circus-like catch with the final seconds ticking down:

That catch alone helped remind fans why Kittle is still one of the league’s most potent threats. And after a relatively slowish start to the year, influenced to a point by injury, Kittle has come on hot as of late, recording his second 150-yard, one-touchdown game in a row by adding a team-best 13 catches for 151 yards and a score against Cincinnati.

According to NFL Communications, he is now the first tight end in the modern era to achieve such a feat.

On the year, Kittle now has 757 yards and a career-best six touchdowns, which is further proof the 49ers are reverting back to making him an integral part of the offensive game plan.

That’s a good thing. The Niners will need to continue doing so down the stretch if they want to make a serious dent in the playoffs.
