49ers Winner: EDGE Nick Bosa

The Niners could have lost Week 14 if only the slightest of outcomes went a different way, so one could easily make the argument Nick Bosa’s impact on the game ensured this wasn’t the case.

In short, Bosa was a monster against Cincinnati’s offensive line and quarterback Joe Burrow, regularly wreaking havoc and creating pressure that forced Burrow into making many a pressure-packed throw.

And while Burrow didn’t toss an interception, trending away from an otherwise notable problem for him this season, Bosa was nevertheless able to add another multi-sack game to his impressive 2021 campaign, notching two more on the year to bring his total to 14.

In addition, Bosa added two more tackles for a loss, too, which is now leading the league at 18.

There could have been that third sack as well, if it weren’t for Ambry Thomas. Fortunately, Bosa was relatively good-natured about it in his postgame presser, and he was surely happy being able to get to his former Ohio State teammate more than once.

Just like the next winner on this list, San Francisco doesn’t win the game if Bosa isn’t playing at his regular All-Pro style self.
