49ers game today: 49ers vs. Bengals injury report, spread, over/under, schedule, live stream, TV channel
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers visit the Bengals in Week 14, and Niner Noise breaks down the latest injury news along with betting info and how you can watch.
Week 14 isn’t necessarily a must-win game for either the 6-6 San Francisco 49ers or the 7-5 Cincinnati Bengals, as both teams have a claim on a playoff berth in their respective conferences with some moderate distance between other teams in the running.
At the same time, though, there’s little room for error for both head coaches, Kyle Shanahan and Zac Taylor, who want to ensure their respective teams don’t suffer losing streaks after dropping their Week 13 contests.
Perhaps the Niners don’t seem to match up well against Cincy’s No. 7-ranked scoring offense, which features three of the most dynamic wide receivers going right now in Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd and rookie Ja’Marr Chase, all at the disposal of second-year quarterback Joe Burrow.
Yet Burrow has been sacked 36 times this season, too, and he’s also thrown a league-high 14 interceptions, putting the onus back on protecting the ball in this particular matchup.
Both teams are banged up a bit, though, too.
49ers injury report vs. Bengals for Week 14
San Francisco is hurting a bit ahead of this road contest, and the following players showed up on the team’s injury report:
- RB Trent Cannon (concussion): OUT
- LB Dre Greenlaw (groin): OUT
- DL Maurice Hurst (calf): OUT
- RB Elijah Mitchell (concussion): OUT
- CB Emmanuel Moseley (ankle): OUT
- WR Deebo Samuel (groin): Questionable
With Mitchell out, the Niners are likely to rely heavily upon reserve running backs Jeff Wilson Jr. and JaMycal Hasty, although it’s a massive bonus to see Samuel back in the mix after he missed Week 13 with his groin injury.
San Francisco will need him to offset a dangerous Bengals offense that could be without running back Joe Mixon, who is questionable with an illness.
49ers vs. Bengals odds, spread, over/under & betting pick Week 14
The Niners may be the more complete team and should have the edge if they protect the ball, despite being the road squad in this contest.
Still, the oddsmakers over at WynnBET like the road favorites in this one, listing San Francisco as a 1.5-point favorite for Week 14 with its moneyline currently at -125. Cincy’s moneyline, meanwhile, is +105.
The over/under is 49.0, and the nature of both teams’ offenses suggests a potential shootout is in the works.
If that’s the case, and the Niners are able to get production out of Samuel and don’t turn the ball over, it wouldn’t be shocking at all to see Shanahan and Co. come out on top with a 33-24 victory.
