The 49ers look to bounce back after a tough road loss against the Seahawks, and they’ll have to pull off a road win over the inconsistent Bengals in Week 14.

The San Francisco 49ers have had only one losing streak this season, a four-game stretch earlier in the year they’d otherwise would like to forget.

After falling 30-23 to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13, the Niners are hoping they avoid their second losing streak of the year as they take on the 7-5 Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14, the at-large game the NFL added to San Francisco’s schedule when it was increased to 17 games.

At 6-6, the 49ers are still in the playoffs, currently occupying the No. 7 seed in the NFC standings. But things have been wilder for the Bengals, who earlier this season, were considered contenders for the AFC crown.

Now, losers of three of its last five, Cincy will have to rebound, too, after falling at home in Week 13 to the Los Angeles Chargers, who put up 41 points at Paul Brown Stadium.

Yes, it would be nice if the 49ers could rediscover their winning ways.

49ers vs. Bengals betting odds Week 14

Both the Niners and Bengals have been notoriously inconsistent this season, which probably explains why the oddsmakers over at WynnBET currently list neither team has a favorite, electing to go with this Week 14 bout as a pick-em.

Additionally, San Francisco and Cincinnati’s moneyline is both at -110, although that’ll surely change a bit as the week moves along, especially with anticipated developments for quarterback Joe Burrow’s throwing finger, one which was injured against the Chargers.

The over/under for the game opened up at 47.0.

49ers vs. Bengals prediction for Week 14

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered his first road loss of the season in Week 13 but has gone 4-0 otherwise on the year.

Perhaps that’s reason enough to assume the 49ers bounce back, especially if all-performing wide receiver Deebo Samuel returns from the groin injury that held him out of the loss to Seattle.

The Niners lost that game because of sloppy play, so an all-around clean-up effort should do the trick against Cincy.

Except for the Bengals will argue the same thing.

In games like this, with two teams that are hard to pick, usually the home team gets the edge. And while it’s unfortunate for San Francisco fans, our initial prediction suggest the 49ers end up suffering their second losing streak of the season in a 28-24 loss in Week 14.
