No. 2: Josh Norman forces a fumble, 49ers recover

Veteran cornerback Josh Norman certainly hasn’t been a fan favorite for most of the season. But every now and then, he’s capable of making a splash play.

He did in Week 11.

With the 49ers leading 10-0 at the 11:24 mark of the second quarter, Trevor Lawrence hit wide receiver Laviska Shenault for what was setting up to be a nice gain on first down, only to see Norman come in and punch the ball loose:

Linebacker Fred Warner, who led the defense with seven tackles, quickly swarmed to the loose ball, ensuring the Niners recovered and ultimately went plus-2 in the turnover-differential department. More importantly, that defensive takeaway helped set the tone for San Francisco’s defense, which never allowed the Jaguars to garner much of anything on offense.

For Norman, that’s now his fifth forced fumble, which leads the NFL through 11 weeks.
