No. 3: Nick Bosa gets a hustle sack for 49ers

It was pretty clear EDGE Nick Bosa was going to be eclipsing his rookie-year career-best mark of nine sacks, set two seasons ago before his torn ACL derailed any hopes in 2020.

Well, 11 weeks into the 2021 season, he’s done that and more.

Bosa managed his ninth sack of the season with just over 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, simply overpowering Jacksonville right tackle Jawaan Taylor to take down quarterback Trevor Lawrence for the sack:

If that wasn’t enough, Bosa was then credited with another sack of Lawrence two plays later on 3rd-and-25, forcing another Jaguars punt and all but ensuring there’d be no epic comeback from Jacksonville’s part.

Bosa might not be getting as much help from his crop of fellow pass-rushers this season, but there’s no mistaking how much of an impact he’s providing on his own.

He took over the fourth quarter.
