49ers Round 2 Rookie: OL Aaron Banks

There isn’t exactly much to be said about offensive guard Aaron Banks aside from the fact “nothing to be said” is an indictment, considering second-round picks should at least be expected to contribute modestly in year one.

Banks been inactive for all five games so far this season. True, it’s normal that rookies aren’t always ready right away, but a second-round guard should at least be good enough to make the game day roster, even if it’s as a backup.

The only logical grade for Banks is that his stock is unfortunately AT ROCK BOTTOM.

This is not to say this can’t change, but it’s discouraging the Niners passed on a potential superstar cornerback back in the Los Angels Chargers’ Asante Samuel Jr., a position of need, to take a guard who is not even dressing for games.

Hopefully, Banks is able to break through and show everyone why he was worth the high pick.

Banks is definitely a dud at the moment, though.
